Coastal Horizons

We just returned from a family trip to Anna Maria Island, staying at the picturesque Coastal Horizons House. The six-bedroom home gave everyone their own space, yet there were wonderful areas to gather and relax. The house was beautiful, spotless, and exceptionally well equipped. Days flowed easily between the beach and the house. The short walk to the ocean made sunrise and sunset visits effortless, and having beach chairs ready to go was such a bonus. Afternoons by the pool and evenings in the hot tub became our rhythm. The barbecue and fully equipped kitchen made family dinners feel special, and thoughtful touches — like hairdryers in every bathroom — showed genuine care. Restaurants and shops were close by, yet the home felt peaceful and private. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the property manager was responsive and easy to work with. The Harris Family

This house was a great fit for our group of 9 ladies. Plenty of space and beautiful views from most rooms in the house. The pool and spa were exceptionally clean and functioning properly. Convenient access to the beach and a quick walk to bridge street.

I loved this vacation! The house was wonderful! I am always a little concerned when houses are across the road from the beach because we have two grandmothers that travel with us and have mobility issues. However, this house was well within walking distance for everyone. The elevator was a big plus for us. Perfect!!

We loved our time at Coastal Horizons! The property and pool were just beautiful. Hanging out on the roof at sun rise and sun set was the best! "From coffee to cocktails" was our saying! The elevator was a lifesaver for some of us with bad backs and knees. There are a few things that need to be updated and repaired but for the most part, everything was in well-working order. We are so looking forward to coming back in a couple of years.

This house was amazing! It was across the street... just a quick walk to a beautiful beach! It was so easy to walk over with the basics, water, chair, towel and know you can easily walk back to grab lunch whenever you want. There is an outside shower for a quick rinse off before getting in the super warm pool! The pool area was our favorite. There were high top tables in shade, a concrete bar and a TV. The roof top deck was a great spot for morning coffee as you watch the sunrise or in the evening to cool off with the ocean breeze. There a re a other decks with seating to relax and read a book or talk. The kitchen was great. Just needs more dishes and cups. We used paper plates as much as possible. The ice maker in the freezer made ice but didnt dispense it as a heads up. Also the twin beds need replacing. We were told they were repaired but they still had the same issues of being wobbly and unsteady. We had plenty of towels and nice quality bedding. We were thankful there was an elevator because there is no bathroom on the pool level and the stairs are tile (gets slippery when wet). All in all a great stay!

This home is lovely. Spacious. Comfortable and private. Located a few steps to the bay and a fishing pier our grandkids loved and just a few houses from gorgeous coquina beach. There was plenty of room in the 3 floor house. New and well laid out. Everyone had full bathrooms and a large family friendly kitchen. Decks on each floor and a fun pool and grilling area. The management company took our calls about maintenance but based on the guestbook we read there many of the issues were not corrected for the past 2 years. We had a fantastic time at this house. Although I would not recommend using the rental agency they suggest for other items such as a golf cart or beach items. That was a nightmare.

I do apologize about the mix up with the rental company that we arranged for you. I'm not sure even after listening to the calls and reading the emails exactly what went on, but we did make sure you were refunded the full amount of the rentals that you cancelled. Our concierge service uses a variety of vendors to meet our guests' needs and I'm sorry that the one we chose did not work out for your family this trip. Hopefully, we will be able to welcome you back as our guest in the near future and we will make sure that you receive the best possible service.

We loved our stay at Costal Horizons. Our group was two families totaling 9 and the layout and size of the house allowed for everyone to have plenty of space to themselves. Also the location is perfect - 100 yards or so to the gulf beach and half that to the water between the island and the mainland. The roof deck was my favorite spot although the house has multiple decks that can be enjoyed. We would 100% book this property again

It was great for our family of teens and young children. Walking distance to bridge street for dinner and the beach is literally across the street. The pool was beautiful and amazing to watch March madness poolside . Excellent stay:)

The home was beautiful and spacious! The location across from the beach couldn’t have been more magnificent; however, I do feel the home needs a little more TLC. Some of the toys in the garage for the kids were broken. Some of the floats were broken, the wagon in the garage was rusted, the red cooler in the back by pool was dirty inside and a little rusted, the bikes had flats and the garbage from the prior guests took up all of the garbage bins where we did not have where to throw out our own garbage. It would be nice if guests were notified when garbage day is so that they can help by throwing out their garbage. Other than that our stay was great! Just a little feedback to improve the quality of service offered to guests that will book this home in the future. Thank you

Zuzell, thank you for the five-star review of Coastal Horizons. If we would have been made aware of the issues with the bikes and cooler, we would have been happy to have taken care of those items during your stay. We will definitely look into this and make sure that it is taken care of for the next guest. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of Manatee County for trash pick up. Most of the homes on the island have guests check in on Saturdays and the trash is picked up on Monday ~ there is a bit of an overlap with having trash in the bins between guests. I'm sorry it was inconvenient and I really wish that there was something that we could do about it, but trash pickup on the island does not happen on Saturdays ~ mostly due to the congestion of guests coming and going as well as local beach traffic. I'm glad that it didn't deter you from enjoying your stay and we hope that you will visit Anna Maria Island again very soon!

Great week at the beach! Nice property, comfortable beds, great pool, close to the beach, good use of elevator in the house, especially for bringing bags up. Perfect home for my family with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. It’s not easy finding a nice place that is pet friendly, this is it. Close easy walk to the beach. Coastal horizons is a spacy and comfortable beach house at Anna Maria Island. Its many balkonies and the roof terrace open great views to intercoastal waterway, crystal-clear gulf and specteculary sunsets. Kitchen is well equipped. The Weber-Genesis II BBQ on pooldeck was clean and a good tool for steaks and ribs. Excellent service by AMV! We will come back!

We rented the property for three important reasons. Location, large house and pool. The location was wonderful, full of views and a very short walk to the amazing beach. The house was what we had hoped for, large enough to make six adults and five children never feel crowded. Loved the elevator as we ended up using it more than we thought we would. The only negative we had is with the management company and the issue was with the pool. I reported the pool cold on Tuesday afternoon. They responded later that evening, the lady said that it may be due to the cold weather but she would contact the pool contractor and someone would follow up with me. We heard nothing on Wednesday, on Thursday early afternoon I called again. The lady that I was talking to said she would contact the pool contractor to have them look at it. The pool contractor was there within a couple of hours and told us that the breaker was tripped and we should have a heated pool the next day (Friday). We also were to leave the water running to fill the pool for one hour. I received a message from the management company with the same information that the pool contractor had said. Adding an explanation that sometimes on the island this happens. Because the pool was one of the important reasons on why we rented this property, I emailed them again and explained that had they contacted the pool company Tuesday night when we reported the issue we would not have lost two days of using the pool. I still have not received a follow up from my email. Even though the pool contractor told us we would have a heated pool on Friday, it was still to chilly to enjoy.

We want to apologize for dropping the ball on Tuesday evening, our Service Team was not notified about the pool heater until Thursday when you had reached out to our office again to follow up. We take full responsibility for that and did our very best to rectify the issue after made aware. Unfortunately, with the high temperatures being in the 50s and the low temperatures being in the 30s, the heater for the pool would not have engaged as it is a heat pump and will not operate at temperatures below 57 degrees. Temperatures this low are not usual for Florida, but they can occur. In order to prepare our guests for this possibility, we do have a section on the pool heat included on each page of our website and in our T&Cs. We apologize again and hope to welcome you back to Anna Maria Island in the future.

This property was even more amazing than the pictures portrayed! The house was the perfect size for our family including the twin beds for my granddaughters. There was plenty of space to congregate and the appliances were high end and in perfect working order. The garage contained plenty of toys for the beach and pool. The property was located in a perfect area where we could visit the gulf or bay in just a few steps. The free trolley stopped less than a block away and you could explore most of the island. Without using a rental, we were able to split up or travel together all over most of this island. Bridge Street was walking distance where we spent a great deal of time. I heard "Thank you" from all of my children many times over during our stay for the beautiful house on a fabulous island. It was our best vacation yet!

We brought four generations together for this much needed vacation. Location was perfect. The design of the property is perfect for it's location. Plenty of space for everyone to relax. Having a pool and hot tub on premise was great! Beach in the morning and pool in the afternoons. Nice to have bikes and chairs but they were pretty rusty and not real functional. We had a great time celebrating our 50th anniversary and my daughters birthday. The house was outstanding. One thing though. Second floor terrace with furniture on it. My wife did fall down due to the step down. I also tripped and my brother also did. They need to mark that due to it blending in with floor under it. Accident waiting to happen. This property is lovely in so many ways. The backyard provides an oasis with a unique pool with a water feature, hot tub, bar and grill and awesome TV. Our family entertained local family there as well as spent mornings and evenings relaxing. Also, there were so many beach chairs and floats provided at the house, bikes, and umbrella! Too much to name. The inside of the home is decorated with simple colors but high end finishes making each room a delight to be in. My family enjoyed our week in this home so so much.
