Gulfside Oasis

We’ve stayed at several properties on the island and this was definitely our favorite. The rooms were spacious and it was great having multiple bathrooms. We stayed in the MBR but our guests in the other BRs said their mattress were not very comfortable. Other than that, we loved the property.

Gulfside Oasis was very nice. Very clean at check-in time and the beach was only about 200 feet or so away. We had a small hiccup with an appliance, but Anna Maria Vacation Rentals responded immediately and took care of it.

We did pool and beach over and over all day. Our grandchildren are ages, 10 years, 7 years, 4 years, 18 months and 11 months. Very nicely accommodated all 11 of us. I would like to point out that on the main floor balcony there were two plastic chairs that were badly broken and dangerous, very sharp. Also on that same balcony one of the tops to the railing could be lifted off and could possibly fall onto a car below.

There were 11 of us who stayed at this property. Three families total ages ranging from 15-40s. This property was plenty big enough for all of us. The location to the beach was perfect and the property came with lots of beach chairs, towels, an umbrella and a wagon. We loved the backyard pool space. It was perfect for those afternoon swims to cool off.

The property was great and in a great location. Well stocked and clean. It could use a little TLC. The only problems were that we had to evacuate mid week because of Hurricane Helene (no fault of the property owners or VRBO of course). The biggest issue I had was that upon arrival Saturday night, the code that was given to me for the lock box for the key did not work. It was after hours and the two telephone numbers that I called were not answered (including the after hours number. we had two small children with us and a car full of groceries and weren't sure what we were going to do (hotel...and what to do with the groceries). Luckily, we found a sliding glass door unlocked and were able to let ourselves in. I would suggest in the future a keyless entry lock...and mostly for the fact that such a large house that can hold a lot of people and only one key was a bit of a problem. Keyless solves that issue.

This property was exactly what I’d imagined. I give it five stars for location, very spacious and comfortable. As with any rental property maintenance is huge. We did have to call a couple times for a couple fixes–one being the kitchen faucet handle fell off. Another being the upstairs dryer not drying clothes. Sounds like upstairs dryer has had previous issues mentioned in previous posts. It was not resolved but we managed with one dryer. The pool could have used a good cleaning. It was filled with leaves upon arrival. We decided to tackle this project ourselves. The hot tub does not heat. It might just be considered a spa and not a hot tub but once again not a huge issue for our group. But if you want it hot you might have to inquire first before booking. The home could use is a new can opener (doesn’t work). And a beach wagon. Hauling beach stuff without a wagon is definitely a chore and a work out. Thankfully we had many hands but if your traveling with toddlers or infants, it would make it easier if the home supplied a beach wagon for use. All in all, the home was great for our family of 11. And a very close distance to beach (walk across road) and beautiful sunsets every night!

We had a group of 9 staying at the property for a vacation. The home is very nice with enough bedrooms/bathrooms for everyone and living space. The heated pool and hot tub were used every night. If had maintenance issues (issues with kitchen faucet and upstairs dryer), they were taken care of very quickly. The location is also great as well. Only half a block away form the beach entrance. The neighborhood is pretty quiet. Grocery stores and restaurants are very close to the property. Golf cart rentals are also available and we saw many of them around the island. The only traffic issues were because of construction at the corner of Gulf Rd and Marine Rd that caused some detours leaving the island. Overall, we would highly recommend this property to any family/friends that want a great beach/sun experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Gulf Side Oasis. Our family of 11 traveled to AMI to enjoy a week of warm weather and sandy beaches. This house had plenty of room for us all and was just across the street from the beach. We enjoyed the secluded backyard pool and hot tub in the evenings after a day at the beach. The house provides lots of towels...... both bath and beach. The beach chairs and sand toys were a nice addition. Everybody raved over the comfortable beds. We hope to come back again!

Gulfside Oasis was perfect for our group of 12. Each family had their own space and the kids had plenty to do with the ping pong table, the beach and swim oasis out back. The location of the house cannot be beat unless it was sitting on the sand. Truly, a quick crossing of the street and you are there. The other bonus is being close to the one side of town. You can walk to liquor stores, restaurants, coffee shops and sandwich shops. The Pine street side of town is a little farther away but was not an issue to jump in golf cart to get there. The bedrooms and bathrooms situation in this house is perfect for three families!!The beds are so comfortable. The only complaint would be that there was no sun on the pool this time of year and that they may need to trim back some of the trees around the pool. That would never sway us from renting this property again. It was truly perfect. Anna Maria has everything needed for a wonderful vacation. It also helped that the weather the week after Christmas was amazing! Thanks for a wonderful break from the insanity of life right now.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Great location and short walk to beach. Pool area was nice although the hot tub needed a bit of tile work done as tiles were falling off outside of tub but nothing that affected our trip and fun. The kitchen pans were not awesome and not one top fit any of the pans so a new set of even cheap pans would have been great since we cooked a lot. The beds were more of the memory foam type mattress and no box springs which most of the family loved the softness of them but was not a good choice for my not so great back. Just so others are aware in case that could be an issue for someone else with back issues. The ping pong table was nice for the kids and the jungle like pool area made you feel you were in your own little jungle in middle of no where. The pool had wonderful table set, lounge chairs, tiki bar table in the pool which was cute, tv and cable outside too. Oh and the hot tub was actually a hot tub which was so nice! Sometimes those don’t get warmer than the pool and this did and felt awesome! And there were beach chairs that we didn’t use but they were in garage. A few beach toys and lots of pool toys. And beach towels provided which was awesome since I totally forgot to pack ours. Whoops! The beach is amazing. Soft cool sandy beach. People were catching fish one after another out there on beach side. Was fun watching. The house overall was beautiful and very clean and we had a wonderful time and would stay again in the future when we visit the area. Thanks for the great couple weeks away!

Gulfside Oasis was our family paradise for a week in October (when snow came early back in Minnesota)! We loved the clean space in the house, the large pool area, and the great location! The beach is very close and many restaurants are within minutes of 204 66th Street. We agree with the other reviews which suggested a better refrigerator...or two! Thanks for the fun family stay for us!

The 6 bedrooms were all nice but the kitchen & common area were not large enough for a 6 bedroom home. Also the refrigerator needed to be larger & a double oven would have been a plus. Not part of the property review, but the beach area was a bit narrow. Unfortunately, the beach restoration project further confined the available area making for more crowded conditions.

For starters, the house is located two minutes from the beach. It is an excellent location and a very large house. Our family enjoyed the stay very much. However the house did have some minor issues. There were blinds missing from several windows, three king-size mattresses in the garage, some of the furniture has spots on it and the floor could have been mopped better. But overall it was an excellent rental and I would recommend it again. Location location location

Beautiful home with short walk to a beautiful beach. Loved having so many bathrooms and the two sets of washers/dryers came in handy. We brought our own beach chairs/umbrellas and rented bikes for transport around the island. A great time was had by all!

The house is great. Lots of room for my children and grandchildren, there were 10 of us. Plenty of room for Thanksgiving Dinner together. The house was clean, the beds comfortable, plenty of hot water and the showers were great. The pools was a favorite- 86 degrees, and they little ones enjoyed the spa at same temperature - if it were a hot tub the kids could not use it. Pool area is totally private and plenty of room to lounge around pool and play on the deck. There are balconies on the street side of the house with Gulf views and lots of sun for those who want to tan. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped. The 2 sets of washers and dryers are a must and worked well. Living Room furnitures was replaced during our stay, and the new furniture is very nice. The quality of the linens was very good. Shows an owner who cares. The management company was the best I have seen, and I am a frequent VRBO renter. They respond to all calls very promptly. The beach was a short 2 minute walk, and the sand and swimming areas were fine for little kids. For beach walkers, endless possibilities. The Beach Bistro restaurant is just across the street and it is top drawer for adults. A very elegant and fine meal. No ideas for improvement from rental service to quality of the house to location. All great. Highy Rocmmend.

Our family of 12 thoroughly enjoyed the spaciousness of this home! The walk to the beach was short and easy even for our youngest grandchildren (2 and 5). The Management company fulfilled our requests quickly for anything we needed in the kitchen. Other reviews have mentioned the pool being in the shade. This does make the pool area cooler during winter months but I'm sure more enjoyable during summer months! It didn't stop our grandchildren from swimming though! There are two sets of washing machines and dryers! One on each level of living space, which is very helpful for large groups! The only negative that I commented on in our review was that the dishwasher should probably be replaced. Very nice property!

Once you have stayed at Gulfside Oasis on AMI your family will not be searching for any other properties to rent. This house is very well constructed with high end finishings, bright and cheery furnishings, and spacious bedrooms.The layout could not be more perfect. This is our 5th vacation on the island and Gulfside Oasis is by far our most favorite home to date. The pool was heated to a perfect setting of 83 and the spa was used every night to everyones enjoyment.Our entire family from age 7 to 88 years young would recommend this beautiful vacation home to all.

We really liked the house and the proximity to the beach! Fit perfectly for our group of moms and daughters for a spring break trip. Plentiful towels reduced the need to do laundry every night. As a suggestion, it would be great to have more chairs on the balconies, as these locations get the morning sun. Pool is wonderful! Walking distance to restaurants and cute shops.

Great home for a family vacation or multiple families. Comfortable sleeps five couples each with a private bath. Lots of room to spread out and multiple balconies. The house was beautiful. It is literally a 1 minute walk to a gorgeous beach....made it easy to run back and forth for snacks drinks etc. We had a few maintenance issues while there but one call to the property managers and they were out in minutes. I can't wait to come back for a return stay. Only drawback I can see for us was the beautiful pool area was mostly shaded all day and we are total sun people so we did not use it much....if you are not looking for sun it was a great space and super private.

We just stayed at the Gulfside Oasis for a family get together with 13 people and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and big enough for everyone to have their own space with large areas to gather for meals and fun. The beach is just one block away so going back and forth from the beach to the pool is easy. The kids room and 2 other bedrooms are on the main floor which was great for the little ones to nap during the day in their own space but still close enough for adults to hear them. You will want to make sure you bring 2 expandable gates (we did) to block off the upstairs and lower level for safety. The pool and grill area was great for all ages and the gulf view from the master bedroom upstairs was just beautiful.
